This development is being built on a conservation site that would normally be reserved for open market sale. However, Hastoe and CG Fry & Son Ltd have secured this heritage site for a 100% affordable housing scheme.
The site was a former coal yard and this has influenced the final design which is a traditional style of architecture found locally, relying on correct scale, hierarchy and proportioning with appropriate detailing. It includes most of the features of Hastoe's New-Build Standard.
