Rural Loneliness and Isolation Event

Hastoe was represented at the an event on tackling loneliness and isolation in rural areas, where HRH The Princess Royal gave the keynote address

Organised by the National Housing Federation, the Plunkett Foundation and English Rural Housing Association, the event focused on how rural organisations and rural housing providers could help combat loneliness.

With the rural population ageing rapidly, and services continuing to close, there is a threat of isolation and loneliness increasing in rural areas. This summit looked at how this problem could be tackled.

HRH The Princess Royal delivered the keynote speech, while Loneliness Minster, Tracy Crouch MP, spoke on the steps the Government was taking to tackle Loneliness. Ms Crouch said of Hastoe:

"I encourage the excellent work being carried out by rural housing associations like Hastoe to provide well-designed developments sensitive to their location and setting."
