Rural Housing Event at Labour Party Conference

Hastoe sponsored a fringe event at Labour Party Conference with the CPRE and the National Housing Federation.

The event focused on solving the rural housing crisis and what policies Labour should promote to build more affordable homes in Rural England.

Speaking at the event were Lisa Nandy MP, the CPRE's Head of Planning, Matt Thomson, Simon Nunn from the National Housing Federation and Hastoe's CeO, Andrew Potter. Proceedings were chaired by Hywel Lloyd of the campaign group, Labour Coast and Country.

Andrew Potter, spoke on the importance of quality design to build homes that a rural community wants and could be proud of. He also mentioned the critical issue of securing access to land for a fair price to allow more genuinely affordable homes to be built.
