Staying safe during home visits

What to expect if Hastoe or our contractors need to visit your home

Hastoe and our contractors are continuing to follow the latest Government advice on social distancing and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure our residents, staff and contractors stay as safe as possible.

Before a visit

If Hastoe or our contactors need to visit your home, we will ask if you or anyone in your household has coronavirus, has symptoms or is self-isolating. It’s important to let us know straight away if this is case so that we can make any necessary arrangements.

If you or someone in your household has coronavirus or symptoms we won’t be able to visit your home and any works will be postponed until they can be safely carried out.

If you or someone in your household is shielding Hastoe and/or our contractors will make necessary arrangements to avoid face-to-face contact during their visit. In some circumstances we may have to postpone works to a later date.

During a visit

When working inside your home, our contractors will observe the current guidelines on social distancing and wearing masks/gloves. Following completion of the works, all surfaces affected will be wiped down and any waste will be removed from your home and disposed of by the contractor.
