Salary: £13,644.80 per annum (£27,289.60 FTE)
Location: Hybrid, with minimum one day a week in our Dorchester office.
Hours: Part time, 17.5 hours to be worked over a minimum of 4 days between Monday to Friday.

About the role
Our Maintenance Assistant will work closely with colleagues in the Property Services, Customer Service and Housing teams to help deliver a customer-focused responsive repairs service.
Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing Hastoe’s void properties to ensure re-let times are in line with Hastoe’s business strategy.
- Collating disrepair cases and other administrative tasks to support the delivery of responsive repair works for our customers.
- Progressing Hazards in the Home Categories 1 and 2 to ensure they are actioned swiftly, including raising repairs.
- Submitting insurance claims and liaising with third parties.
- Liaising with specialist surveyors to receive and upload reports, as well as presenting findings to the Property Maintenance Manager.
About you
Our ideal Maintenance Assistant will be:
- Highly organised and proactive with a strong background in property maintenance or housing services.
- Confident managing contractors, coordinating repairs and liaising with internal teams and external partners.
- Able to provide excellent services and effective communication.
- Able to manage their time to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks as well as being able to work as part of a team.
You will also need:
- A proven track record in delivering excellent customer service.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point).
- An understanding of equality and diversity issues and how they can impact on the job role.
- Previous office administration experience.
- Clear communication skills, both oral and written.
- An excellent telephone manner.
