Salary: £50,000 - £54,500 depending on experience
Location: Hybrid working, with attendance at our office in Little Canfield, Essex one day per week. Along with regular travel to Hastoe offices and schemes.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Housing Team Leader to lead our housing management team and help deliver outstanding services to our residents.
You will be responsible for managing a team of Housing Officers and take responsibility for delivering an excellent housing management service across a designated geographical area.
You will provide leadership on complex cases, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, drive service improvements and champion a positive resident experience.

Key responsibilities:
- Leading, motivating and developing a team of Housing Officers and other housing staff.
- Overseeing tenancy management throughout the tenancy lifecycle, including assignments, successions, mutual exchanges and tenancy enforcement.
- Providing management oversight on complex anti-social behaviour, safeguarding and domestic abuse cases.
- Ensuring effective neighbourhood and estate management, maintaining safe and sustainable communities.
- Supporting the delivery of rent collection targets and review complex arrears cases.
- Monitoring service performance and ensure compliance with housing, health and safety and regulatory requirements.
- Building strong partnerships with residents, local authorities, support agencies and contractors.
About you
You'll be an experienced housing professional with a strong track record of leading teams and delivering excellent housing management services. You will have:
- Significant experience within social housing or housing management.
- Experience of managing and developing staff.
- Up-to-date knowledge of housing law, tenancy management, safeguarding and anti-social behaviour.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to manage complex cases.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A customer-focused approach and commitment to achieving positive outcomes for residents.
- The ability to analyse performance information and drive service improvements.
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across your region.
- Hold or have a willingness to obtain a Chartered Institute of Housing Level 4
