About the role
You will play a key role in managing the relationship between Hastoe and its leaseholders, shared owners and freeholders. You will ensure compliance is upheld with leases, legislation, and internal policies, while supporting residents with advice and managing a range of property and legal matters. The role also supervises and acts as deputy to the Home Ownership Manager as required.
In addition to managing and supporting the Home Ownership Assistant duties will include:
- Managing the shared ownership, leasehold and freehold portfolios.
- Overseeing complex escalations whilst ensuring legal and regulatory compliance is upheld.
- Supporting processes such as variations, enfranchisement, debt recovery and breach of lease cases.
- Collaborating with solicitors, finance and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and promote excellent customer service.
- Attending resident drop-in days, scheme inspections and consultations where necessary.
About you
You will have experience in housing management, particularly with leaseholders and shared ownership schemes. You will have the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders varying in seniority, accompanied by excellent written and verbal communication skills.
In addition, you will:
- Be able to confidently interpret leases and freehold agreements.
- Be able to manage complex leasehold cases including legal enforcement.
- Have strong organisational skills to aid with the management of multiple priorities.
- Be customer focused, resilient under pressure, detail driven, and committed to fairness, professionalism, and high standards.
- Be proficient with the use of I.T. systems, including Microsoft Office and specialist housing management software.
- Be willing to study for a professional qualification. Minimum level 3 CIH – Chartered Institute of Housing (if not already obtained).
