About us

Hastoe is an award-winning housing association that manages 7,500 rented, shared ownership and leasehold homes across the south of England. We hold charitable status and support both rural and urban communities by providing affordable and environmentally sustainable homes for local people.

Hastoe built its first rural affordable homes in 1987 and since then all our homes have been built to a higher standard than required by building regulations. Innovation and sustainability are high on our agenda. Hastoe built the UK’s first rural affordable Passivhaus scheme in 2011 and we developed our own Hastoe New-Build Standard in 2021. This new Standard adopts a fabric-first approach; reducing carbon emissions and saving residents money on their heating bills. Other key elements of the Standard are reduced water consumption, local vernacular design, minimal impact on the environment, Nationally Described Space Standards (NDSS), as well as accessibility and future-proofing features.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Hastoe’s West region Development Team. You will be part of our busy Dorchester office, playing a key role in supporting the delivery of the development programme across the region. In this role, no two days are the same. It provides a great opportunity to make a real difference in delivering new homes to people in housing need, and to develop the skills and experience to start or progress your career in housing development.
