Hastoe is formulating proposals to develop land adjacent it's existing development off Blacktiles Lane, Martlesham, to provide further affordable housing.
We are now at the stage where we would like to consult with the local community on our proposals, and are therefore inviting residents to view the proposals and provide feedback by Friday 11 September, in order that we can consider comments received and finalise our proposals before a planning application is submitted to East Suffolk Council.
The proposal is to develop 38 new affordable homes, comprising:
-
4 x 1-bed, 2 person flats
-
4 x 2-bed, 3 person flats
-
16 x 2-bed, 4 person houses
-
14 x 3-bed, 5 person houses
Whilst our proposals are being finalised, we anticipate that 10 of the proposed homes will be for Shared Ownership and 28 of the proposed homes will be for Social Rent.
We envisage submitting a planning application in Autumn 2026, and subject to a positive response from East Suffolk Council being received, works commencing in Spring 2027 and completing by Autumn 2028.
Plans of our proposals are available to view below and we would welcome receiving your feedback by Friday 11 September by emailing your comments entitled Martlesham II Development Consultation to eastdev@hastoe.com.
Some areas we would welcome your feedback on is:
-
Does the scheme provide the right mixture of homes and tenures?
-
Is the proposed development in keeping with the existing surroundings?
-
Are there any aspects you feel could be improved as part of finalising our proposals?
If you would be interested in registering your interest with Hastoe for one of the proposed affordable homes and would like to be kept updated on when homes may become available on this development, please complete a Housing Interest Contact Form and return to us.
