Hastoe’s Chief Executive Attends Investiture at Buckingham Palace

Hastoe Housing Association’s Chief Executive, Sue Chalkley OBE, today attended the Investiture at Buckingham Palace and received her honours from Princess Anne.

The OBE was awarded in the Queen’s New Year Honours list in recognition of Sue's contribution to housing and tenants.

In addition to her work heading up Hastoe, Sue is a prominent figure in the rural housing world and is a founder member of the National Housing Federation Rural Alliance and has lobbied hard on behalf of people in need of affordable rural homes.

Sue Chalkley said: “It is a real honour to be recognised in this way and in particular for the good work Hastoe does for rural communities. At Hastoe, we deliver quality homes that people can afford and we invest in people and communities.”
Sue joined Hastoe in 2007 and has worked in social housing for 37 years.  She was previously Director of Development and Regeneration and Operations Director at Gallions Housing Association and Regional Director (South East) at Housing 21. Sue is also a Trustee of the National Flood Forum.
