Information for residents following today's fire in London

Information for our residents in the light of today’s tower block fire in north Kensington.
Our thoughts are with all who have been affected by the devastating fire at Grenfell Tower, north Kensington. We are monitoring the situation in London very closely and we hope that the information here is reassuring to anyone living in a Hastoe block who may have concerns about their home.

Please be reassured that we take our duty to ensure all our residents’ safety very seriously:

  • All Hastoe blocks clearly display a recommended fire evacuation notice in the communal part of the building. Please read this and speak to your Estate Officer or local Hastoe team if you have any questions about it.
  • We have a dedicated residential buildings safety team who focus on all safety issues.
  • Fire risk assessments are carried out every 2 years for all relevant blocks of flats. These assessments are carried out by one of the top companies in the country for fire safety and we follow all of their recommendations detailed in the risk assessments.
  • All our blocks of flats are inspected at least once every month for safety issues, and larger schemes, where we have Estate Officers, are checked more frequently.
  • All fire safety equipment such as fire alarms and dry risers (these carry water through the building) are all serviced and inspected regularly.
For more information on what to do in an emergency, please read your Tenant Handbook, or contact your Estate Officer or local Hastoe team for more details.
