Kilmington Scheme Completed

Hastoe has seen their housing scheme in Kilmington, East Devon reach completion. Based on Dares Field, the new scheme provides affordable homes for local people.

Eleven of the homes at Kilmington are for affordable rent, whilst two are open market properties. The affordable rent homes are made up of 1 x 4 bed house, 2 x 3 bed homes, 4 x 2 bed houses and 4 x 1 bed houses. The open market properties are made up of 2 x 3 bed homes. All homes are built to near PassivHaus standards.

Robert Aspray, Regional Head of Development for the west at Hastoe, said: “We’re delighted to see the completion of our housing scheme in Kilmington. These homes allow local people to remain in the area that they were born in, grew up in or work in, and eleven of the homes will be held for the local community in perpetuity.”

“We have been working hard with the parish council and local authority to get this project completed and it’s great to see the homes built. The unique build style of the houses allows for eco-friendly and sustainable living for residents, which is sure to help them and the environment in the long-term.

“This housing scheme at Kilmington further demonstrates our desire to help communities retain their identity, by building affordable homes intended for local people.”
