Oliver Letwin MP opens Yetminster

Scheme Opening for Yetminster on Friday 9 October 2015

On behalf of Hastoe Group, The Right Honourable Oliver Letwin MP officially opened a new development of fifteen affordable homes for local people at Frylake Meadow in Yetminster on Friday 9th October.

Frylake Meadow is a rural development of twelve affordable homes for rent and three homes for shared ownership.  All of the houses were prioritised for people with a local connection to the primary parishes of Yetminster, Beer Hackett and Ryme Intrinseca.

The homes were constructed by Pemberton Homes Ltd and funded by Hastoe Group and the Homes and Communities Agency. Employer’s Agent services were provided by Peter Robb Associates.

The Right Honourable Oliver Letwin MP said "We very much need more homes that are within reach - both physically and financially - of local people in West Dorset. So I'm delighted to be officially opening this collection of houses in Yetminster, built on behalf of local people and with priority for local people."

Councillor Tim Yarker, Executive Portfolio Holder for Housing at West Dorset District Council, said “There is a constant demand for affordable housing in West Dorset and meeting this need for local people in our rural communities is important for their vitality. So I would like to congratulate Hastoe for delivering this much-needed development in Yetminster.”

Kevin Hartnett, Business Development Director, at Hastoe, said: “We are pleased to be delivering these much-needed affordable homes for the local people of Yetminster where local private rents and home ownership can be out of reach for some families. At Hastoe, we deliver homes that people can afford, we invest in people and communities and we are in it for the long-term.”
