Scam Mailing for Energy Efficiency Products

Hastoe warns on Scam Mailing for Energy Efficiency Products

Hastoe is advising its residents to be careful after a recent spate of scam letters offering energy efficiency products.

Scam letters have been sent to properties from a company pretending to act on behalf of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) – an official government energy efficiency scheme. The letter urges householders to register for free funding (up to £8,000) to help improve the energy efficiency of their home, including free boiler replacement and solar installation.

Another letter has been sent from ESE & ENERGYSAVINGGRANTS, offering health checks on PV systems.

These letter are not legitimate.

Hastoe’s Head of Strategic Asset Management, Darren Cruice, said:

“Hastoe residents should always be careful when receiving these sorts of offers for energy efficiency products. Any doubts, contact the Hastoe Hub on 0300 123 2250.”
