Repairs update

An update for residents with BA, DT, SP & TA postcodes

We wrote to you in September to let you know that we’d appointed contractors West Country Maintenance Services (WMS) to carry out repairs in your area for a short period of time whilst we looked for a long term contractor.

Due to the large volume of repairs raised to WMS in the last 3 months, caused by a backlog from the coronavirus lockdown earlier this year, WMS is not able to carry out any new routine repairs during the rest of its contract with us.

Therefore, if you need a new routine repair please wait until after 18 January 2021 to report it, when our new contractors will be ready to carry out works. We will contact you again in January to confirm their details.

Routine repairs that have already been raised will continue to be carried out by WMS and will be completed in priority order. As highlighted when we wrote to you in September, these repairs may take longer than normal to complete, and repairs which would normally take up to 28 days could take up to 90 days.

Urgent and emergency repairs will also continue to be carried out by WMS and our out-of-hours contractors NPA. If you need to report an emergency repair, please call us on 0300 123 2250.
