Salary: Up to £47,000 + £5,000 car allowance per annum pro rata
Location: West Region, Home Based with requirement to travel across the South
Hours: 35 hours per week

About the role
You will contribute to the delivery of the Hastoe New Homes Standard by providing a high quality project and contract management service. You will provide technical support to the wider development team and be instrumental in tackling and resolving latent defects and historical issues. You will oversee a programme of intrusive Fire Risk Assessments and work closely with contractors and consultants on remediation strategies. You will carry out quality inspections on active sites.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Project manage allocated projects, updating workflows and taking action to ensure compliance with the Association’s budget, timetable, brief and funding conditions.
  • Visit sites and inspect the works with consultants to ensure full compliance with the Building Contract and Employers Requirements, Good Practice and Good Quality Standards, Building Regulations, Fire Safety Measures and Final Inspection Matters.
  • Ensure contractors meet our quality standards, identify building defects, areas of concern on site, contractual risks and putting in place remedies.
  • Attend pre-start and progress meetings as required and act as the client’s representative.
  • Support the Technical Manager in the resolution of Latent Defect challenges and manage a planned programme of Fire Risk Assessments.
  • Be a first point of contact in Hastoe providing assistance, expert advice and solutions with technical issues in Development.

About you
You will be an experienced project manager with sound technical understanding of construction and maintenance. You will work collaboratively within a team to find sensible solutions and have excellent customer service skills. You will be motivated, enjoy undertaking challenging and varied tasks, and able to manage your own workload and diary.

Previous experience of developing rural schemes is not essential but would be an advantage.
