Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid working (with minimum 1 day per week at Hastoe’s Head Office in Hampton Wick, near Kingston-upon-Thames).
Hours: Full time (35 hours). Part-time patterns will be considered.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build their career in governance and compliance, to work in a senior role reporting directly to the Finance Director.
This role would suit someone driven by working in an organisation with a very clear purpose, which is to build high-quality, affordable homes that support sustainable rural communities.
You will provide advice and support to the Executive Team and the Group’s Boards and Committees, and lead a small team that is responsible for governance, regulatory and legal compliance, data protection, insurance and risk management.
About you
We are looking for a qualified company secretary/solicitor; or you may have equivalent experience with a degree level qualification. You will have previously worked in a regulated environment.
We also want to hear about your:
- Understanding of company constitutions and group governance arrangements
- Ability to work on a broad array of matters, in a role where no two days are the same
- A working knowledge of data protection legislation and good practice
- Excellent stakeholder management at all levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail.
We recognise that this is a broad role, so you will be given both formal and informal training in the role and there will be lots of opportunity to work with closely with many different departments within Hastoe.
