Former Director and Deputy Chief Executive, Commission for Rural Communities and Countryside Agency and former Rural Adviser to Business in the Community, with particular responsibility for HRH The Prince of Wales's Affordable Rural Housing Initiative. Past member of: Carnegie UK Trust Rural Committee; BBC Rural Affairs Advisory Committee; Independent Policy Commission on Primary School Organisation in Shropshire; the Housing Corporation's Rural Housing Advisory Group. Currently, chair of the Somerset, Devon and Dorset Community Land Trust Project; trustee of the Arkleton Trust; member of CPRE Policy Committee. Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Special interest in rural development policy and practice and the provision of affordable rural housing.
