Former Director and Deputy Chief Executive, Commission for Rural Communities and Countryside Agency and former Rural Adviser to Business in the Community, with particular responsibility for HRH The Prince of Wales's Affordable Rural Housing Initiative. Past member of: Carnegie UK Trust Rural Committee; BBC Rural Affairs Advisory Committee; Independent Policy Commission on Primary School Organisation in Shropshire; the Housing Corporation's Rural Housing Advisory Group. Currently, chair of the Somerset, Devon and Dorset Community Land Trust Project; trustee of the Arkleton Trust; member of CPRE Policy Committee. Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Special interest in rural development policy and practice and the provision of affordable rural housing.

Experienced in commercial property and housing law with a special interest in plain English. Experienced in commercial and residential property management. Retired solicitor, trustee of a property investment trust. Former landowner, farmer, parish councillor. Countryman living in rural Sussex, with a particular interest in rural housing issues.

Desmond Begley FCCA CPFA

Formerly Director of Finance and Administration at English Heritage. Holds a number of non-executive directorships including Affinity Homes Group and Chairman of Aldbury Quality Homes. Considerable experience in financial and corporate management.

Consultant on Conservation and Development. Vice-chairman of IUCN Commission on Environmental Economic & Social Policy. Worked with the environmental movement for 23 years mostly for the WWF family. Former member of expert group advising the EC on the environmental energy research programme.

Martin Craddock FCA
Retired Finance Director. Previously with KPMG London and 3i before moving into the food industry, most recently as Finance Director of Rank Hovis Limited before retirement in 2005.Former vice-chairman, Hastings District Health Authority. Former school governor.

First involved at Hastoe on the Continuous Improvement Group (2007-10) and has been a member of the West Region Committee since 2008. Works for Taunton Deane District Scout Council as an administrator for Huish Woods Scout Campsite.
